  1. Open Windows Security:

    • Simply press the Windows key on your keyboard, type "Windows Security," and hit Enter.

  2. Access Virus & Threat Protection:

    • Once the app opens, select "Virus & Threat Protection" from the menu on the left.

  3. Manage Settings:

    • Scroll down to "Virus & Threat Protection settings" and click "Manage settings."

  4. Turn Off Real-Time Protection:

    • Look for the "Real-time protection" toggle and switch it off. This stops the malware and virus scanning temporarily.

  5. Disable Tamper Protection:

    • It's essential to also turn off "Tamper Protection" to proceed. You'll find this option in the same settings area.

  6. Confirm Your Action:

    • A warning will pop up, letting you know your device might be at risk. Click "Yes" or "Turn off" to confirm your choice.

Uninstalling Third-Party Antivirus Programs

  1. Open Control Panel:

    • Type "Control Panel" in the Windows search bar and open it.

  2. Access Programs and Features:

    • Find and click on "Programs and Features."

  3. Find Your Antivirus Program:

    • Look through the list for any third-party antivirus software you have installed, like McAfee, Malwarebytes, Norton, or Kaspersky.

  4. Uninstall:

    • Right-click on

the antivirus program you wish to remove and select "Uninstall."

  1. Follow Uninstallation Prompts:

    • Proceed with the prompts to uninstall the software, granting any permissions if required.

  2. Restart Your Computer (if needed):

    • Sometimes, a restart is necessary to complete the uninstallation process. If prompted, go ahead and reboot your computer.

Disabling Windows Defender Using Defender Control

    • Ensure you download the program from a trusted source. It's a handy tool for managing Windows Defender more directly.

  1. Run the Program:

    • Once downloaded, open Defender Control. You might need to enter a password (default is "sordum") if prompted.

  2. Disable Windows Defender:

    • In the program, simply click on "Disable Windows Defender." This will turn off Windows Defender's protection features.

  3. Confirm Your Action:

    • If any confirmation prompts appear, accept them to finalize the action.
